Okay, so, this never happens. Mount Francis (the highest skiable drop in Antarctica (?) at 9,500') with an absolutely mirror calm channel in front of it. In 2003, I tried to ski this peak with Doug Stoup and we never even saw it, despite being camped right at the base. Wow.
